Hi, I’m Olivia! I was born in 2003 and grew up in Dorset.
I completed my NCTJ training at PA in June 2023, earning a Gold Standard Diploma. I loved the course, and one of the highlights was making a film about wild swimmers—where I even joined them for a morning dip!
My journalism career began at The Sun's World News desk in September 2023. A year later, in September 2024, I moved to MailOnline, where I now work on the UK news desk. The best part of my job so far has been the opportunity to speak with so many incredible people.
Before diving into journalism, I trained as a skydiver, traveling around the world to hone my skills. It’s still one of my biggest passions, alongside running, baking, and reading.
I’m also passionate about volunteering and have recently been involved with two incredible charities. One is OMV, which organizes trips and retreats for disabled people, giving them the chance to enjoy new experiences while volunteers provide dedicated care and support. The other is Hopefull, a charity that sends volunteers to displaced communities to cook and serve pizzas.
Last year, I spent two weeks in Ukraine, where I had the privilege of meeting many people affected by the war and hearing their powerful stories.
